Furs, patterns and suiting were all on hand at Joshua Kane's FW16 collection. The collection was for a man whose fortune is not swayed much by the economic strife of the global financial markets. Instead, he is one who can afford the best clothes, with fur trims here and there, cashmere coats, and always at the ready for a good time. Taut waists and broad shoulders gave the silhouettes a masculine look while tipped hats and a flurry of opulent eveningwear rounded out the collection.

Turn of the 20th century fashion has been de rigueur ever since British TV show Downton Abbey hit the airwaves and caused a micro fashion revolution. For Joshua Kane's FW15 collection, sharply tailored suits, in bold patterns, hinted at a time when men wore bespoke suits everyday. Kane added a dash of dandy with silky scarves, artfully tied around their necks, creating an ascot-like look, while details like dark eyeliner added a sinister vibe. The strongest pieces, however, were the gilded outerwear: expertly cut with golden embellishment and could signal the zietgeist this season.
