Joseph's latest collection aimed to create a balance between warring trends of the athletic and the tailoring trends. The results showed that the battle for harmony between the two is hard fought and not easily won. There were some gems like an oversized pale-grey coat but most of the collection was middle of the line at best.

The strong use of patterns, mostly stripes or geometric, brought Joseph's Spring/Summer 2018 collection alive while well made coats and tailored pieces gave the collection a sophisticated feel among the sportier elements.

Joseph's relaxed silhouettes for FW16 gave its latest collection a loungey vibe, with pants puddling over loafers or double breasted jackets oversized just a bit to give them a lived-in comfortability. Meanwhile, joggers in classic fabrics like herringbone added an athletic element to the pared back collection.

Joseph's collegiate FW15 collection was expansive, giving men of all ages, not just those at university a taste of youthful designs, from louche pants to pajama smocks to a plethora of cool knits, in solids or patterns. Meanwhile, the label's take on classic pieces, like the morning coat, felt weaker when paired with voluminous trousers and a chunky diamond knit. In all, the label offered its large offering to date and it's sure to appeal to men who want cool designs without too much fluff.
