Strong Inuit references were seen in Giuliano Fujiwara's Fall/Winter 2012 collection, primarily from the color palette. The Japanese streetwear brand shows its collection during Milan Fashion Week and one could see the strong tailoring aspect in the clothing but it is, at the heart, all about functionality, form, and wearability, as that is the crux of streetwear.

Giuliano Fujiwara complemented the ornate background of its SS12 collection with sleek, linear sportswear pieces. There were great light fabrics seen on cropped but flowy pieces, mixing a wintry looks in inconspicuously summer fabrics.

Giuliano Fujiwara's collection for Fall/Winter 2011 was about straight lines and uniformity. This can be seen in every outfit, from the way the open outerwear drapes the body in a perfect line to the illusion the bottoms make on the body: elongating it, even the shorts that were shown were cut just slightly below the knees but never too far below to make the legs look stumpy and short. The collection showed that simple, well made clothes always trump those that are overtly showy and take the attention away from the man under the clothes.
