After a side trip to London, DKNY returns to New York to showcase a collection heavily influenced by Brooklyn and the nouveau hippies. Take the shrunken proportions, tapered legs, and cropped pants that were mixed with DKNY's usual sporty offerings like graphic knits and cool coats in the label's favorite color: black. One of the biggest highlights and will hopefully signal the future of DKNY's offering was an blue ombre coat. Most of the looks worked to highlight the way men, or at least these very young men, dress out on the streets.

An ultra-sporty collection was mixed with ethereal colors and subtle color blocking that highlighted the slim silhouettes and cropped proportions. The SS14 collection was fodder for the DKNY fanatic and sure to raise the eyebrows of those who might think of the brand as stodgy.
