It's not easy to elevate a tracksuit, no matter how many sequins or appliqué one puts on them. That being said, the ones that Cottweiler offered for their FW19 collection came as close to an elevated tracksuit as one could conceivably get. They were almost elegant in their silhouette and modern in their fabrications. Though the story here was the outerwear and the footwear, both of which were collaborations with Allegri and Reebok, respectively. While the show notes say the collection challenged masculine dress (slightly true), the biggest achievement of this collection is that it shows where menswear and masculine dressing could and should go if the current trends are to continue.

Athleisure is a word that's ubiquitous but also apt for this time in fashion; there are tracksuits, joggers, and trainers on every runway and how to differentiate one from another is the big challenge. For Cottweiler's SS19 collection, they teamed up with The Woolmark Company to help add a sustainable fabrics into the label's designs, which were created with inspiration from Rambert, Britain's first dance company. This explains the short shorts, the jaunty outfits, and, as previously alluded, the tracksuits.

Mountaineering, an active lifestyle, getting back to nature and unnatural colors rounded out Cottweiler's focused FW18 collection that posited a duality to today's world: the urge to be natural, be it organic food or natural skincare, melded with the desire to wow and sparkle, literally or figuratively. This collection from Cottweiler offered all that and some very well made clothes.

Collaborations are the biggest things to happen to fashion in quite awhile and British label Cottweiler partners with Reebok for a sporty FW17 collection featuring technical fabrics like memory foam seen on outerwear and waterproof transparent layers make for a functional and fashionable wardrobe. The campaign was shot by CG Watkins and features Malik Al Jerrari.

The search for clean water is on at Cottweiler's Spring/Summer 2018 show. Models strode down the runway is rugged designs, with each in various states of undress. One wore his baggy shorts surreptitiously low while others wore cropped knits or lightweight and irredescent short shorts, with all the models wearing chokers with a lizard.
