Christopher Raeburn's mantra of cool and sustainable fashion has reached quite a milestone: its 10-year anniversary. There were re-issued garments in para-military designs while a collaboration with Timberland (which Raeburn now heads) offered an opportunity to reach a larger audience, one who might see sustainability as unflattering and unfashionable hemp layers. Raeburn has always offered chic and wearable and that continues as he embarks on a new chapter, one where he hopes to be a carbon neutral brand.

Christopher Raeburn's point of view has always been about sustainability, his narrative on climate change has made him a leader in the fashion industry for utilizing eco-friendly fabrics and techniques. For SS19, this continued with a focus on the melting ice caps, using satellite imagery from NASA showing the decimation of those structures due to climate change. What Raeburn does best is making such a statement in his collections without compromising the design of beautiful garments, albeit some like a parka might not be very season-appropriate but then again, soon we might not have season at all - which is exactly the point the designer is making.

Christopher Raeburn's socially conscious collection continues to make waves with a strong FW18 collection that offered rugged luxury and strong technical fabrications.

Socially-conscious designer Christopher Raeburn looked to the three R's to anchor his sporty SS18 collection: Renew, Reuse, & Recycle. The collection's athletic minded bend was seen on virtually every look from the fluid and generous cuts, perfect for movement, to the utilitarian details, all capped with some very chic, ultralight tulle layers.

British designer Christopher Raeburn collaborated with MCM to create a capsule collection titled "Made to Move". The combination of Raeburn's social commentary and the high fashion offerings that MCM is known for are present: luxurious bags and a socially conscious and green-leaning collection of clothes were proffered, with plenty of youthful prints and sharp tailoring for the modern man and woman.

For his latest collection, Christopher Raeburn was inspired by an often forgotten part of Asia: Mongolio. Though that country is home to many of world's most sought after fabrics like cashmere, it is often overshadowed by its consumerism-driven neighbors like Japan, China and South Korea. However, under Christopher Raeburn's re-work, re-use and recycle philosophy, the country's snow suit, seen in the last two looks, got plenty of tongue moving during LCM. For the rest of the collection, there was plenty of sleek sportswear with subtle textures and complementary colors, all cut with military proportions in mind.

If his Spring/Summer 2016 collection is an indication then Christopher Raeburn has been on a search to "find himself"; that all encompassing notion of self awareness is something everyone can relate to. The idea of self awareness came into the collection as he attempted to create the most basic and important parts of a man's wardrobe, from a well cut pair of trousers to cool but effortless knits and just a hint of wanderlust. The idea of creating the best basics is something we've seen quite a lot of in London this season and Raeburn makes a good case for men to re-evaluate what comprises of their wardrobe.

Christopher Raeburn is a survivor, at least that's what one's supposed to surmise from his FW15 collection. Inflatable puffers and kitschy shark motifs littered the collection and it equally was fun/cool and functional. The duality of the collection could be easily seen in puffers that doubled as floatation devices while fluid trousers and water resistant Mackintosh's were slick and not at all cumbersome; add to this the very chic accessories like inflatable backpacks and it's a big win.

A bit of whimsy ran through Christopher Raeburn's SS15 collection via toy airplane patterns but the inspiration actually came from boneyards, a term used by the military that refers to a place where they keep old jets and planes. That was the starting point of Raeburn's latest offerings that had all the elements of soldiers from years past making a comeback in their desert fatigues (done up in florals, of course) and parachute gear.

There was no subtlety over where Christopher Raeburn's train of thought was when it came to designing his FW14 collection. The British designer created a marvelous collection of warm outerwear, from chunky coats to sleek toggle coats to supremely chic university-style jackets. The color blocking technique he showed may not be the trend of the season anymore but when done right, like it is here, it can still produce alluring pieces.
