German-Persian designer Boris Bidjan Saberi's collection are almost always a post-apocalyptic bend and that continues into FW18. That being said, even though his designs trend towards the-next-ice-age, it doesn't mean these survivors can't have fun and play sports. For FW18, that sport is winter sports - how fitting with the Winter Olympics starting in a few weeks. There were ski and snowboard references while furry long vests made cames on the runway, as did athletic-minded layers, complete with fishtail cinches.

Boris Bidjan Saberi's post-apocalyptic vision for FW17 featured an Earth in a new ice age. The resulting collection offered plenty of options in leather and fur, as well as a lot of wools and cashmeres. Raw edges and destroyed layers also made cameos to help keep the frost away from these men in this new and frosty environment.

In the futuristic dystopian world that Boris Bidjan Saberi's collections perpetually live in, the anarchistic fight is done in a world of fire, evidenced from the bright hues of yellow. The flowy layers were clamped down by armor-like vests and coats while chunky, circular backpacks held one's gear. Aside from the color palette, this outing from Saberi continued the aesthetic he's proffered for many a season, albeit the yellow painted faces may be a bit much.

Boris Bidjan Saberi's austere designs melded with an industrial apocalyptic vibe for his FW16 collection that was full of layers: sleeve vests over body hugging shirts over coats with tights underneath shorts or leather pants tucked into boots.

Just two days into Paris Fashion Week and it seems like these designers have a fixation on models heads. There was Raf Simons and his tartan hoods, Rick Owens with a hood of "hair", and now Boris Bidjan Saberi put a plastic veneer over his models faces, making them look slightly deranged. Aside from that, the clothes were quite lighter than his usual wash of black on black. The futuristic tailoring he prefers was still present but was juxtaposed with sportier elements, like joggers and sneakers.

Boris Bidjan Saberi's latest collection had all the hallmarks of war, from refugees seeking shelter to soldiers ready for the call to arms. The hard-edged creations from the German-born designer highlighted the military tailoring he's come to be known for while offering up a stark color palette that ranged from black to blood-red, an ominous tone especially in light of all the bloodshed in Paris, or it could be because of it.

Boris Bidjan Saberi took on adventure for FW14. Skinny models donned knit caps, large backpacks and went off to find their place in the great unknown, all while wearing Saberi's sharply tailored collection. He mixed leather with wool to create a versatile jacket that paired well with oversized shorts. Mismatched suits gave the collection a youthful feel, with jackets tapering at the edge.
