RUNWAY: Giorgio Armani Resort 2020

Giorgio Armani took his shows outside of Europe. For his eponymous collection's Resort 2020 runway show, he staged it in Tokyo to commemorate the reopening of his flagship store in the international city - currently finishing up constructions in preparation for the Olympics next year. But before those games come to Tokyo, Armani aims to dress his legions of fans in softly tailored layers in hues of grey and blue. Since this was not shown in his traditional arena (Teatro Armani in Milan), the lighting was exceedingly better to see the softness and textures of the fabrics - it also brought al lightness to the collection, which was a nice change.
