RUNWAY: Fumito Ganryu SS19

Fumito Ganryu's debut during Pitti Uomo was a big deal, mostly because his is the latest label under the umbrella and tutelage of Rei Kawakubo and Comme des Garcons. The result of this collection was one that aimed to create harmony between the wearer and nature. Oversized cloaks, which were fully waterproof, were excellent metaphors to the rest of the collection, as if protecting them from the elements; the technical fabrics also juxtaposed the nature inspiration.
