RUNWAY: Heron Preston FW18
You either love or hate
Heron Preston. Those who look at the clothes or see the clothes on famous people or in this review will have one of two reactions, there is likely no middle ground. Especially in coordination with the focus on social media influencers, of whom you either love or hate. Therein lies the modern day conundrum, there is so much polarity that there likely is no middle ground on many things from politics to favorite colors and with the proliferation of the internet (now it is correct to write or type internet using a lower-case "i") in everyone's life, one's own views are reinforced, often ten fold. That being said, this particular collection had some great nuances, such as a collaboration from NASA, it's old logo can be seen on sweats and it's taken to a new level with an all-white outfit that resembles a spacesuit. Elsewhere, the collection offered downtown-cool looks that conveyed a disaffection for trying to even look cool but with the popularity of such aesthetics, it's clear that looking like you don't care what you look like takes a lot of work.
