RUNWAY: Chanel Pre-Fall 2018

Chanel's controversial designer Karl Lagerfeld goes back to his roots by showcasing the French couture house's Pre-Fall 2018 collection in Hamburg, inside a concert hall and accompanied by a live orchestra. The Metiers d'Art collection aims to highlight Chanel's many partners from lace makers to embroiders that help create its collections. For Pre-Fall 2018, the theme was high-end nautical with plenty of tweeds thrown in to appease Chanel's very loyal customer base, including some smoking pipe accessories and wide-legged pants.
