RUNWAY: Gosha Rubchinskiy FW17

The fashion calendar is all over the place, with fashion weeks (as well as fashion seasons) overlapping, locations not being centralized and then there's Gosha Rubchinskiy, the Russian designer-du-jour. He didn't show his collection in Paris this season or Milan or Florence, like last season. No, he staged his FW16 in his motherland of Russia. Stalingrad to be exact. The resulting collection was decidedly more grown up, with a strong military influence while there were still sporty and 90s references, like his co-branded collection with Adidas, we think this new, more mature version of the Rubchinskiy man is a natural and needed evolution for the label.
