RUNWAY: Versus Versace SS17

Donatella Versace has been ahead of the curve for awhile now. Versace's diffusion line, Versus, has previously tapped guest designers like Jonathan Anderson and Anthony Vaccarello, both of whom have been swept up by LVMH and Kering, respectively, to become the creative director of two very large and important labels, but Donatella saw their talents first. Versus has also been doing "see now, buy now" for years and the industry is just catching up. Fast forward to Versus' SS17 and maybe this could be a sign of things to come in fashion: subversive takes on para-military garb. Maybe, maybe not but so far, Donatella's prescient eye has seen what it took others seasons, or years, to see.
