RUNWAY: TopMan Design SS17
Once again,
Topman Design kicks off
LCM with a retro themed collection. This time, the runway collection for the British fast fashion retailer was heavily influenced by seaside towns along Britain's coast, as well as animal motifs, seemingly heavily influenced by Alessandro Michele's collections for Gucci. There were flamboyant designs like a sea and animal printed poncho, perfect to keep cool once the sun goes down or any of the multitude of appliqueed designs. Throughout the collection, there was also a sense of seasonless fashion, the newest wave hitting fashion (and partly what Burberry opted out of a runway collection this time around). There were colorful and structured puffers, topcoats and a velvet robe thrown in for good measure.
