RUNWAY: Louis Vuitton FW16
Louis Vuitton is arguably one of the most famous Parisian labels in the world and the label's men's director,
Kim Jones, paid homage to the City of Lights for his FW16 collection. After the recent terrorist attacks in November, Jones is one of the first designers who paid homage. The collection was very Parisian and very much for the Parisian dandy: scarves worn around the neck, berets worn just so and slim, body hugging silhouettes. There was a utilitarian aspect to the collection that gave the clothes a militaristic feel but when paired with denim, which was a first for the venerable label, it worked and gave the looks a modern and casual feel. As for the bags, there were plenty to choose from, whether the mini-trunks to a new take on their famous monogram.
