RUNWAY: Juun J. FW16
Korean label
Juun J. was the guest designer at Florence's Pitti Uomo and he brought his A-game. His signature coats, oversized and utilitarian, were present but he decided to focus his efforts on commentary. There were words on shirts, scarves and entire outfits, things like "genderless", "view", and "form". Even with these outre sayings covering the minimalist designs, the collection was elegant and sophisticated, like the musing of a man twice the designer's age, rather than the screams of attention a child may utter. The finale of shearling-lined coats and graphic backs were a triumph.
