RUNWAY: Lanvin SS16
Rugged and used layers were
en mode at
Lanvin's Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Shirt were distressed to look like they had been through the wash a couple of hundred times while a variety of bottoms were offered, from loungey suit trousers to short shorts to slim cut pants. Meanwhile, the men's label has been trending more towards the dark and sinister these past few seasons and it continues with this collection whose black, grey and maroon layers are wafted in light but, no matter, these poetic and tortured souls are content. In all, there were a plethora of options for buyers and consumers to lust over, with detailing so precise and labor-intensive that one would need to see it in person or feel it to really appreciate the effortless way these lived-in clothes took to make.
