RUNWAY: Hermès SS16
If someone is fortunate enough to afford
Hermès, there are no such things as "seasons" so a leather jacket or goatskin trousers from the Spring/Summer 2016 collection could be very useful when one is jet-setting from one locale to another, from St. Barths to Gstaad. That's the premise of
Veronique Nichanian's latest collection for the venerable French house. There were casual and cool trousers, relaxed and rolled up at the ankle, as well as various foliage-patterned jackets. Nothing was outlandish or screaming for attention, that's not Hermès. Instead, the unassuming luxury that Nichanian has perfected during her time at Hermès continues to shine through while those large structured top-handle bags she proffered are sure to fly off the displays and sure to illicit a waitlist or two.
