RUNWAY: Kay Kwok SS14

Kay Kwok's SS14 runway show cannot be more succinctly described other than severe tailoring goes on an acid trip. The Chinese designer was backed by GQ China for his LCM debut and that could only signal great things, see Xander Zhou, GQ China's prior designer spotlight, who has gone on to show his immense talent. The androgynous collection felt a bit left of center in London, where classic tailoring is favored and seemed more akin to Paris' forward-thinking aesthetic. That being said, his skills are tailoring were commendable as were the innovative fabrications. With an endorsement from GQ China, we expect that we might be hearing the name Kay Kwok quite a lot in the future.
