RUNWAY: Lou Dalton FW13
Over time, we have learned to count on
Lou Dalton to create a fashion collections that are succinctly English, in fit, style and presentation. The wonderfully slim tailored outfits were styled to be youthful and fun without the stuffiness that sometimes proliferates many of the English collections because they're too caught up in their heritage. With Dalton, the brand was established for the modern name and isn't mired with the idea of heritage, rather the designs are rooted in proportion and fit. We particularly liked the small amount of tartan shown, that added a bit of dimension to the stark suiting that in itself had plenty to detail from contrast pockets and stitching. Though Dalton played with proportions a bit, we felt the narrow silhouettes were a better fit, aesthetically.
