RUNWAY: Lanvin FW13

Lucas Ossendrijver and Alber Elbaz took a sporty route when designing Lanvin's latest collection. For Fall/Winter 2013, skinny ties, crica 2004, were de rigueur and paired with running shoes. Oversized coats proliferated the runway and were sometimes paired with slim trousers, making quite a top-heavy, masculine silhouette. Fur was also featured, seen on a blouson under a square-cut double breasted suit with exaggerated lapels. In the end, the show did showcase the relaxed tailoring we're come accustomed to from the creative team while offering some edge via punk styling.
