RUNWAY: Chanel Pre-Fall 2013

Karl Lagerfeld jettisoned the fashion elite to Edinburgh for Chanel's Pre-Fall 2013 runway show. The collection was inspired by Queen Mary I, with beautiful layers of tartan in luxurious fabrications. There was plenty of Scottish cashmere, from knits for men to jumpers and the like. The menswear offerings edged more mainstream with no fur behemoth suit to be seen.
