RUNWAY: Qasimi SS13

Khalid Qasimi's SS13 collection seemed quite familiar. Well done and tailored, the references felt a bit done by a certain Belgian designer. However, as they say, that is the highest form of compliment. In any event, a color palette skewing in the blue to red range complemented a collection that was more tailor-focused and sartorial than previous collections. In a world that's so fraught with uncertainty, many designers find solace in menswear staples like suiting, like many designers in Paris, strong tailoring was number one and innovation might come a bit later.
