RUNWAY: Valentino SS13

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli followed up their FW12 for Valentino collection in Florence by showing once again during the world famous trade show Pitti Uomo. For SS13, the duo continued to play with proportion and fit for the Valentino man. Last season's pristine suits were traded out for a younger, more urbane collection of sportswear. Billowing sleeves, technical finishes and cigarette pants were favored, with many looks shown with a wide range of accessories, the life blood of many high fashion brands. Though the collection's color palette was a bit drab with a plethora of olive and hues of brown, the peeks of color came through via panel details, trim, and slight color blocking.
