RUNWAY: Louis Vuitton SS13

Kim Jones continues to create interesting and buzzworthy collections for Louis Vuitton. For SS13, the collection the was inspired by the sea; fitting since Vuittons sponsors a yacht competition every year, aptly named the Louis Vuitton Cup. A simple color palette is complemented by wonderful accessories from Vuitton's cash cow: bags, to other accessories like scarves and broaches. The relaxed silhouette is heightened by advances in fabric manipulation, like a super soft croc skin that's quite different from the usually rigid ones you see on other collections. It was another winning collection from Jones, who has had nothing but superlatives thrown at him since showing his first collection for Louis Vuitton.
