RUNWAY: Lou Dalton FW12

Lou Dalton's militaristic Fall/Winter 2012 collection was accented by 1920s officer caps. The caps were not the only pieces that were vintage inspired, the stone washed denim also harkened an older generation of blue collar workers. The suiting she offered, however, were quite modern with jackets a bit cropped and trousers tapered, like the baby-blue outfit on Dan Felton. An updated aviator jacket with shearling collar was quite fetching, at first for its resemblance of the classic leather aviator jacket but upon closer inspection, is a fabric, rather than a skin, then for its minimalist look with simple zipper pockets.
