RUNWAY: Yves Saint Laurent FW12
Stefano Pilati put on a hard-edged and rebellious collection for FW12. The storied
Yves Saint Laurent house was built on sharp tailoring and an ability to understand what customers want; Pilati did just that with his opulent Fall/Winter 2012 collection. The monochromatic collection had touches of fur, like an exaggerated fur lapel on an overcoat, as well as a litany of leather from leather jackets to leather pants. We thought the small touches of navy throughout the collection added a chic touch to the collection, as well softening the piece so it wasn't so black or all leather. The metal accents on the shoes were also on trend with FW12.
