RUNWAY: Gareth Pugh FW11

Gareth Pugh showed both his lines in Paris today and he light up the runway, literally and figuratively. The avant-garde British-born designer had a Rock n' Roll feel for Fall/Winter 2011 and electrified the runway with a shock of electric blue pieces, breaking from black; a color Pugh (and financier Rick Owens) heavily favor in their clothes. There were also architectural references, as well as strong shoulders, wide trousers and lots of lambskin. All in all, it was an evolution for Pugh, in terms of design and color usage.
