RUNWAY: dunhill FW15

John Ray's debut at dunhill centered on the idea of subdued masculinity. Soft, neutral tones were front and center while homey fabrics gave the collection a sensitive, artist vibe, take a check jacket with roomy pants, rolled up at the bottom; all one needed would be a pair of wide brimmed glasses and it would be a perfect outfit for today's hipsters. But the inspiration looked five decades back to the 50s, to Hockney and his contemporaries. What little flamboyance the collection had came in the form of a 3/4 length fur coat, which itself looked downright calm in relation to the other furs seen during LCM.
