RUNWAY: Y-3 FW12

Yohji Yamamoto's collaborative collection with Adidas, Y-3, continues. For the Fall/Winter 2012 season, the atelier creates a collection that more closely parallel's Yamamoto's eponymous line than previous seasons. The area-rug runway serves a complement to the collection's interesting play on fit and proportion. Most surprising, however, was the use of leopard print, a bit saucy for the sportswear brand but a well-welcomed treat.
