RUNWAY: Mugler FW12
Nicola Formichetti and
Romain Kremer created a wearable and refreshingly mature collection for Mugler Fall/Winter 2012. The collection's best attribute were the plethora of capes we saw throughout the collection. They weren't gimmicky or oddly place but worked well with each outfit they were paired with. Towards the end, the sci-fi references and superhero shapes that Thierry Mugler heavily injected into his collections made an appearance but it wasn't garish like previous attempts. It only took Formichetti and Kremer three seasons to start to get it right at Mugler. Though we could do without the cheap props that opened the show.
